life in a graveyard
Episode-2
It reached the gates of the cemetery, boy was overwhelmed. He was acting wild, innocence fled away and there was a dark look on his face. It was an ambulance!
I was shook for a moment, and I was in utter confusion when people got a sudden drop after hearing the ambulance and here the boy was overwhelmed. He was waiting for the dead all day long. Staring at the streets he was eagerly waiting for the ambulance. Not stereotyping, but just a fear that normal people have was not there in him.
For days every time I went to college I would steal a peek as usual and once I caught something which is still a scary thought for me. I saw the kid jumping in eagerness to see a coffin and after burying he was still at that place trying to remove the dead until his father screamed at him to go away. I still get goosebumps out of fear. I can't digest the fact neither I can stand in his shoes to understand his behavior.
The next morning, in the same street I saw his mother buying vegetables. She would pay the money and the vendor would pass the vegetables through the fence. Her face had a tinge of dismal acceptance. For them struggle was spiritual, roses were for the grave and pricks for them. Her face was reflecting that she was in a deep thought thinking about something very grave.
I finally dared to stop and converse. They were reluctant to speak with me anyhow, after getting along with the introduction I left the place. For few days I would just smile and was trying to get into the picture. One fine day, I dared to stop and talk with her. I asked "why the boy wouldn't cross the fence and act crazy sometimes?"Her answer made me think a lot about the situation and made me sad...It's a horrifying thing to happen to anyone....
